Hornbrook Hollow Inc.
The FAQ Vault
The Big Question: What’s the difference?
Think of them as sisters from the same mother (Hornbrook Hollow Inc.) with totally different personalities:
The Funhouse (Grande Prairie): The "Friendly Sister." She’s magical, chill, loves cotton candy, and is safe for everyone from babies to grandmas.
The Haunt (Grovedale): The "Twisted Sister." She’s dark, creepy, into jump-scares, and definitely isn't everyone’s cup of tea.

Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair or stroller accessible due to the uneven ground on the trails in the woods, to the blackout mazes that get so tight you squeeze yourself to get through.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone on crutches or using a mobility aid such as a walker. There is low visibility , uneven ground and stairs throughout the maze, making it a higher risk to injure or re-injure yourself. For safety reasons we are unable to accommodate or be flexible with this rule.
For Family and Chicken 💩 Run’s, guests have taken between 25 to 45 minutes to go through. It’s at a leisurely pace. For Scare Maze nights, it usually takes guests 25 minutes on average to get through.
As we build on to it every year, our goal is to get it to 40 minutes of “ARE WE DONE YET?!!”
Unfortunately, we do not offer group discounts.
This is an outdoor event located in NW Alberta during the seasonal transition month of October. Wear weather-appropriate footwear depending on the weather. If it has rained, the trails will be slippery and muddy. Dress for the cold!
DEPENDS! If the rain or snow makes the trails too slippery, we will close early for obvious reasons.
Our Scare Actors scare rain or snow, but to a limit. Snow is not as bad as rain and we all layer up, it’s the rain that will shut us down if its excessive. WE UPDATE DAILY ON FACEBOOK EACH DAY. Please check there before coming out if the weather isn’t ideal.
Costumes that are not flowy or poofy are allowed during family and chicken events. Props are NOT allowed in during family and chicken events.
Masks, props and blankets are NOT allowed in the haunted maze for ANY of the events due to safety precautions.
